    • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, USA.
  • Professional Stints:
    • Worked at the Samsung Semiconductor R&D Center in California, leading the semiconductor plasma etching department.
    • Contributed to the Metal Etch Division of Applied Materials, supporting Intel Corporation’s metal plasma etching technology.
    • Joined National Semiconductor, which later merged with Texas Instruments in 2011, to continue R&D in metal plasma etching technology.

Philanthropic Endeavors:

  • As a key member of the North American Alumni Association, Mr. Chen is passionate about rallying alumni donations for Chung Yuan University.

  • Collaborated with his 14th cohort classmates to establish the “Chung Yuan University Department of Chemistry 14th Alumni Special Award Scholarship.” This initiative motivates Chemistry undergraduates to delve deeper into research projects, merging theoretical knowledge with practical application.

  • In response to the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 and its economic ramifications, Mr. Chen promptly set up the “Chung Yuan University Special Project for Students Whose Families Were Affected by COVID-19” fund. This timely gesture aided 27 students in the academic year 2020-2021.
